๐ Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)
Divide Slime into Rainbow Portions
Lay out the silicone mat on a flat surface. Divide the clear slime base into 6 equal portions by pulling and separating with clean hands. Form each piece into a neat, flattened disc spaced 3 inches apart across the mat.
- โข Six uniform, smooth circular slime mounds resting in a horizontal row on the silicone mat.
- โข Placing mounds too close together so they merge prematurely.
Scrape and Deposit Cosmetic Pigments
Take the palette knife and gently scrape dry eyeshadow pans onto each slime mound in rainbow order (red/pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple). Deposit a concentrated pile of powdered pigment in the center indentation of each disc.
- โข Each slime mound topped with a distinct, vibrant pile of dry colored powder corresponding to rainbow sequence.
- โข Scraping too hard and breaking large chunks that refuse to dissolve smoothly.
Layer Glitters and Liquid Highlighter
Drizzle a small drop of liquid highlighter over each colored mound. Sprinkle fine and chunky cosmetic glitters matching or accenting each individual color zone on top of the powder piles.
- โข A multi-textured topping of metallic liquid, fine dust, and reflective glitter flakes on each slime mound.
- โข Dumping too much liquid makeup, which can melt or over-soften the slime base.
Knead Individual Color Batches
Fold each slime mound inward over the pigments one by one, trapping the powders inside. Knead, stretch, and fold each color independently between your fingers until the pigment is completely homogeneous and transparent-glossy.
- โข Six separate, uniform, vibrant glossy slime balls with no dry powder streaks remaining.
- โข Switching between colored balls without wiping hands, causing color contamination.
Roll into Parallel Rainbow Strands
Roll each colored slime ball back and forth against the silicone mat into an even cylinder roughly 8โ10 inches long. Line up the 6 colored cylinders side-by-side in strict rainbow order, pressing their sides gently together.
- โข A single contiguous, striped mat of 6 parallel colored slime logs bonded along their edges.
- โข Rolling strands to uneven thicknesses, making the final stretch unbalanced.
Perform the ASMR Rainbow Swirl
Lift both ends of the unified rainbow sheet, gently pulling outward to stretch the bands into long ribbons. Fold the stretched strip in half, twist twice into a rope pattern, and coil it onto the mat to showcase the multi-colored ribbon effect.
- โข A high-contrast, striped spiral coil with visible glitter ribbons and distinct color bands.
- โข Over-kneading and folding too many times, which blends all colors into a single grey/brown mass.
