โš ๏ธ Safety Checkpoints & Warnings

๐Ÿ“‹ Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)

1

Roll the Main Barrel Tubes

Place a sheet of A4 paper horizontally and align a pencil along the bottom edge. Roll the paper tightly around the pencil to create a uniform cylinder, apply tape along the seam, and slide the pencil out. Repeat with a second sheet to create a slightly narrower tube that can slide firmly into or alongside the first.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Two smooth, rigid paper tubes of equal length resting flat on the desk
  • โ€ข Clear tape running along the full length of the outer paper edge
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Rolling too loosely, causing the tube to crush when handled
  • โ€ข Uneven rolling that results in a cone shape instead of a straight cylinder
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Do not press so hard on the pencil that it punctures or tears the paper.
2

Fold the Grip Handle

Take a fresh A4 sheet and fold it lengthwise repeatedly in 1.5-inch increments until you have a thick, flat paper strip. Smooth the creases firmly. Bend the strip into a sturdy 'L' shape roughly one-third of the way from the end to establish the angled handle.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข A multi-layered, flattened paper strip bent into a firm L-shaped handle angle
  • โ€ข Clean, sharp creased edges with no loose unfolding layers
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Folding uneven strip widths, making the handle lopsided
  • โ€ข Bending the handle at a weak, rounded angle instead of a crisp corner
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Keep fingers flat on top of the ruler to prevent pinching.
3

Attach the Barrel to the Grip Frame

Position the main barrel tube horizontally on top of the grip's horizontal section. Wrap two strips of clear tape around both components where they meet, locking the barrel flush to the handle frame.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Barrel tube resting rigidly on top of the grip frame with zero wobble
  • โ€ข Clear tape wound smoothly around the joint without wrinkles
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Taping too loosely, letting the barrel tilt sideways
  • โ€ข Misaligning the barrel so it sits crooked relative to the grip
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Cut tape strips with scissors rather than tearing to avoid jagged tape edges.
4

Form and Install the Trigger and Guard

Cut a 1-inch by 4-inch strip from paper scraps and fold it into a thin 0.25-inch wide band. Bend it into a curved hook for the trigger and a wider loop for the trigger guard, then tape both securely to the underside of the receiver just in front of the grip.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข A curved paper loop enclosing a small downward trigger tab under the barrel-handle junction
  • โ€ข Trigger assembly firmly anchored to the underside without shifting
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Making the trigger loop too large, causing it to block the hand grip
  • โ€ข Using a single layer of paper that bends too easily
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Trim small paper strips on the table surface, keeping your non-cutting hand behind the scissor path.
5

Add Top Sight and Reinforce Structure

Trim a 2-inch segment from a spare paper tube and tape it onto the top rear of the barrel to act as a slide sight. Check all structural joints, applying narrow strips of tape over any exposed raw paper edges to finish the build.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข A finished mini paper toy gun with a top sight, secured grip, and clean sealed edges
  • โ€ข Craft sits entirely rigid when lifted and pointed
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Over-taping with messy overlapping patches
  • โ€ข Crooked sight alignment along the top center line
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Dispose of trimmed paper slivers immediately to keep the work area clean.
