๐ Step-by-Step Guide (7 Steps)
Create the Vertical Center Guide Crease
Lay the paper in portrait orientation on a flat surface. Fold the sheet precisely in half lengthwise, matching the top and bottom corners perfectly. Run a bone folder or thumbnail down the fold to set a sharp crease, then unfold the paper flat with the valley crease facing up.

Fold the Top Corners into the Centerline
Take the top-left corner and fold it down so the top edge aligns precisely along the center crease. Repeat the fold with the top-right corner to form a clean triangular point at the top edge. Ensure both flaps meet perfectly in the center without overlapping or leaving a gap.

Fold the Top Triangle Down (Envelope Fold)
Take the top triangular apex point and fold it straight downward toward the bottom edge. Align the point precisely along the center vertical crease line. The fold line should sit roughly 1 to 1.5 inches above the bottom edge of the diagonal flaps, creating an envelope shape.

Fold Upper Corners Down to Center
Fold the new top-left and top-right corners down toward the center vertical crease. Position the folds so their inner corners meet along the center line about 1 inch above the downward-pointing nose tip. This should leave a small triangular tab of the previous fold exposed below the new flaps.

Engage the Nose Lock Tab
Fold the exposed bottom triangular tip upward over the two diagonal flaps. Press it firmly flat using a bone folder or card edge. This small tab acts as a mechanical lock that keeps the entire nose assembly tightly secured during flight.

Fold Fuselage in Half Along Center Spine
Flip the plane so the smooth back faces you, then fold the entire aircraft in half along the original center crease. The lock tab and folded flaps must be on the OUTSIDE of the fuselage. Ensure the thick nose layers stay tightly compressed together.

Fold Wings and Set Dihedral Angle
Fold each wing down along a straight line parallel to the bottom keel edge, roughly 0.75 to 1 inch above the spine. Flip and repeat on the opposite side, matching the wing crease position exactly. Unfold the wings slightly so they form a shallow 'V' shape (positive dihedral angle) when viewed from the front or rear.
- โข Both wings folded at identical heights parallel to the bottom keel.
- โข Wings rest in a slight upward 'V' angle (5 to 10 degrees above horizontal) when looking head-on.
- โข Folding one wing lower or at a steeper angle than the other.
