โš ๏ธ Safety Checkpoints & Warnings

๐Ÿ“‹ Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)

1

Prepare and rough-cut artwork

Draw your designs or print them onto standard white printer paper. Use scissors to cut around each design, leaving a loose rough border rather than cutting along exact lines right now.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Individual paper cutouts resting flat on the table
  • โ€ข A rough white perimeter visible around each graphic
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Cutting exactly on the artwork border in this initial step, making placement harder later
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Cut facing away from your hands and body.
2

Lay base tape layer on parchment

Place a flat sheet of parchment paper on your workspace. Pull a strip of clear packing tape and smoothly apply it sticky-side down onto the parchment paper, ensuring it lies completely flat with no wrinkles.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข A smooth, glossy strip of tape adhered to the parchment paper
  • โ€ข No creases, ripples, or dust particles beneath the tape strip
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Letting tape fold onto itself or ripple while laying it down
  • โ€ข Touching the adhesive surface repeatedly with bare fingers
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Keep scissors away from edges when peeling high-tack tape to avoid accidental cuts.
3

Position artwork on base layer

Place your paper cutouts face-up on top of the taped area of the parchment paper. Make sure each cutout fits entirely within the tape boundaries with at least 1/4-inch spacing between designs.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Paper designs sitting fully inside the glossy base tape area
  • โ€ข Clear margins visible between all neighboring designs
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Placing artwork overhanging the tape edge onto bare parchment paper
  • โ€ข Crowding designs too close together
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Ensure workspace is clean of lint or stray debris that could stick to exposed edges.
4

Seal top tape layer and burnish

Cut a second strip of clear tape and carefully place it directly over the artwork, sandwiching the paper between the two tape layers. Firmly scrape a credit card or bone folder over the top to force out all micro-air pockets.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Top tape fully covering artwork and extending past its edges
  • โ€ข Crystal clear, bubble-free laminate layer with crisp design visibility underneath
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Dropping the entire tape strip down at once, trapping air pockets around paper edges
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Press firmly on a flat, stable surface; do not burnish over fingers or soft surfaces.
5

Cut out the finished stickers

Cut each sticker out using scissors, cutting through both tape layers and the parchment backing simultaneously. Leave a continuous 2 to 3-millimeter clear tape border around the entire paper design to keep the sticker sealed.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Camera AI Checkpoint
  • โ€ข Clean, trimmed sticker with an even clear tape border visible around the design
  • โ€ข Parchment backing still attached cleanly to the rear
๐Ÿ›‘ Watch Out For
  • โ€ข Cutting directly on the paper edge, which breaks the adhesive seal and causes the sticker to separate
โš ๏ธ Safety Note: Keep non-dominant fingers at least one inch away from scissor blades during fine detail cutting.
